This is an anodized metal ring that screws onto the top of a standard Vernonscope Brandon 1.25" eyepiece in place of the eyecup and eyecup insert. The idea is to cover and protect the threads if the user wants to remove the eyecup and insert, and to give the eyepiece a finished appearance.
The flat top adapters are $20 each.
